Caring Transitions of Rochester is proud to participate in this year’s Shoes for Sigl shoe drive!

We arranged to have a collection box for shoes in the Howard Hanna office in Brighton (2349 Monroe Avenue) and we sent out an email to our contacts to encourage them to bring their shoes too! To learn more, click on this link:

And, if you'd like to share this info via social media so others can join Caring Transitions in this effort, go for it! The more the merrier!

This year we are hosting a gently-used shoe drive to support the 30th Annual Al Sigl Community WalkAbout.

Collection boxes will be available in a variety of locations throughout the Rochester area from July 8th through September 1st. Shoes of all types are welcome (sneakers, dress shoes, sports shoes) including both youth and adult sizes.  Learn more

When donating your shoes please be sure to snap a picture and share with us #RocWalkAbout #ShoesForSigl for your chance to win one of our weekly prizes!

Why should you donate your gently-used shoes?

  • Funds raised will support our community.  Programs provided by our Member Agencies assist their clients to walk a little steadier, speak a little clearer, learn new work skills and gain independence and you can help.
  • Shoes will stay out of landfills.
  • The shoes are repurposed by micro-enterprises creating paths out of poverty.

The real question is Why not donate your used shoes?

Interested in hosting a collection box?  We have all the information you need to organize your own shoe collection to support Al Sigl Community of Agencies.  Details
